Cenote Diving
Join us on a world class Cenote dive into the underground rivers hidden below the Mayan Riviera
Visibility: crystal clear
Dive time: 2 dives -approx 50 min each
Depth: average 6 - 8 meters (20 - 26 ft)
Advance Dives can be made to 34 meters (110ft).
Surface interval : 20-30 min
Water temperature: 24 Celsius (77 F)
Dive site will be chosen upon group experience and weather.
Pick up at 7:30am at designated point. This may be the ferry dock or downtown Playa Del Carmen
Drive approx 30-60 minutes to Cenote. Upon arrival, we will have an area overview, dive briefing and will answer any questions before gearing up
Each diver prepares and checks their own equipment, then we gear up, make a buddy check and walk to entrance
Depending on the chosen Cenotes we may need to drive a few minutes to the second dive site on the surface interval
Before heading back we have a light lunch
Return to Playa del Carmen around 2-3pm
We will give you a thorough briefing about Cenote Diving, before the dive and answer any questions you may have!

Some cenotes have seperate entrance fees for cameras. Fees are paid in pesos at the entrance along with entry fees and are subject to change without notice

Diver Requirements
Open Water or equivalent - last dive no more than 1 year ago and 30 logged dives.
Minimum age 15 years
Good buoyancy and control is a requirement as you are not allowed to touch the bottom or the rock formations
We do not dive through small tunnels or tight spaces
A flashlight is necessary for the dive, in case you need one we have them to rent. This will allow you to peek into the caves and enjoy the rock formations.
If you do not have more than 25 logged dives or have not been diving in the last 12 months we can arrange a check out dive in the ocean to evaluate your skills
Advanced Diver certification or equivalent required for El Pit and Angelita
Cenotes are chosen based upon diver experience, some cenotes require previous cenote dives in order to evalauate skill level
You can use your normal dive gear for cavern diving
We recommend a 5mm full suit and a hood
Rental gear is available for $20 per trip
